Monday - Day One

After a very successful first day, the post for
Devonshire's Vacation Bible School
is finally up and with it, a quick run down of the theme and what the message is for each day.

Each day at High Seas Expedition, kids meet a sea buddy who reminds them of the day's Bible Point.  Today's Bible Buddy is Scully the sea rat:  Sailor's trust a compass to point them in the right direction.  God's word is true - it'll guide you every day.

After registration, the kids took their seats in the congregation for the Sing and Play Splash, where an introduction to the week was presented and they started with a few songs to praise the Lord.

Each group (divided by grade level) then began a rotation of activities:

Clipper Ship Crafts & Missions:
Where the kids exercise their crafting skills and create something to take home.

Goodies from the Galley:
Snack time is always a favorite.

Ship Rec Games:
Mind exercises with lessons of the Lord.

Bible Voyage:
A skit for the kids to watch and participate.

The Floating Finale:
Another gathering in the congregation to review all they learned, see one another again and earn their departing gift - a Silly Band with a message of its own!
